We have a Kindergartener

Cadyn started Kindergarten and he loves it. This past week he went 8:15 til 11:30. This next week he goes until 12:30 and will get to eat lunch there. On the 15th he will stay until 1:30. He is in a K/1 class and his teacher's name is Mrs. Moreheart. She seems really nice.

More summer fun!

Some of the fun things we did this summer!

We had a great summer. The boys were able to do lots of fun stuff this summer at Forest Home. They went fishing, roasted smores, and hung out with friends. We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to spend the summer at Forest Home

Tanner is getting big

Tanner is almost 3 months old and getting really big. He is a very easy baby and is sleeping 8 hours. Cadyn and Griffin love to make him smile and are great big brothers.

Cadyn the Ring Bearer

This past weekend Cadyn was a ring bearer in a wedding. Two of our past staff members Sugar Pine and Ahanu (Sally and Jason) got married. The wedding was in Costa Mesa at a church and the reception was on a boat in Newport. Cadyn did a great job. He took his job very seriously. He even stood up in the front the whole ceremony. The reception was a whole new deal for him. He had many 'Shirley Temples', danced with the bride for the money dance, overall had a great time. It was a really fun time hanging out with some old staff members from a few summers ago.
Other news is that we are waiting for this baby anyday. I was a little relieved that I didn't go into into labor on the boat.

Springtime Fun!

During Spring Break we went to the Kidspace Musuem in Pasadena. The boys had a great time. There were bikes to ride and water to play in. Griffin loved the water that squirted up from the ground. He was soaked and loving it.
We also went to San Diego for a few days. Since we are at Forest Home all summer our boys rarely go to the beach. So we took them to La Jolla for the day. They had a blast playing in the sand. It was a beautiful day not too hot or cold. Cadyn loved the waves and the water. Griffin wasn't so sure about it. He spent most of his time by me in the sand.
This last Friday I was so lucky to go to school with Cadyn to celebrate Mother's Day! He made me a really cute shirt with his handprints. They sang a few songs and we shared muffins and fruit together. It was a really special time together.
The other big news is the baby is coming soon. I am 35 weeks and counting. The doctor said he would induce me at 38 weeks if I was ready. I think I will be ready if I don't go before that myself. It would be nice to go a little early since Jeff has to be at camp on June 5th. It will be a little crazy around here as school ends, baby comes, and camp starts. I'm sure glad it is number 3 and not number 1. The boys are very excited. Griffin really wants another boy and Cadyn thinks it's a girl. We will just have to wait and see.

What we have been up to.

Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to lately. Jeff has been really busy with Forest Home and going back to get his masters at APU. We have had some great weekends just hanging out at home. We are not doing Winter Camp at Forest Home this year and it has been nice to have some free time. Cadyn has learned to ride a two wheeler bike. He had a Bike-a-thon at school recently. Griffin is officially potty-trained which is big news. Hey we have a few months without diapers.

Christmas Fun

We have been busy like everyone else with lots of fun activities this Christmas season. We had a great time with the Indian Village staff for a Christmas party. The boys just love them. Cadyn had a performance for school. He did a wonderful job singing his little heart out. They had the cutest costumes. Hope you have a great Christmas!

We're having a baby!!!!!!

The baby is due June 15th (the first day of summer camp). Hopefully a little earlier. I am 14 weeks pregnant. I have been sick this time as well. There is still a little hope that I will feel better soon. The boys are very excited. They want another boy. We aren't going to find out so we will all have to wait and see if pink is in our future.

Final Summer Pictures

Since the first day of fall has come I thought I should post a few final summer pictures. The first picture is from the last night of camp. Cadyn and Griffin pose with their friends Molly and Sheri. Their dad Mark works at Forest Home full-time and plays electric guitar with Jeff at camp. Daddy and the boys spent the night in a teepee. They had a great time and slept the whole night through. Each Sunday night the boys got to wear the chief of the day vests and welcome kids to council fire with T-Hawk. Last but not least, Tim, Liza and the boys came to visit us at Forest Home. They had a great time going swimming, playing on the playground, and just exploring outside. It ws fun to have them come see Forest Home. We had such a great summer and miss it lots.

Sudza

This is our friend Sudza (Carla). She spent the whole summer with us at Indian Village. She is from Zimbabwe. After camp ended she stayed with us for a week. She would like to come back here next year to go to college and work at Indian Village again. While she was here we went and visited a few school in our area. She is currently on her way home as we speak. We pray that she has a safe trip and comes back to us soon!
